Who we are
JW Painting & Pressure Washing & Epoxy Flooring works from Jacksonville’s 32254 ZIP on the city’s west side. The business describes itself in one line: high-quality painting, expert pressure washing and durable epoxy flooring for homes and businesses, with clean, long-lasting results. This website focuses on the flooring and coating side of that work.
Our motto is “Where Precision Meets Perfection.” A customer who hired us to replace the tile in a master bathroom quoted it back to us in a Google review, which tells you it gets said on the job, not just printed on a card.
Our history
From ProFinish Paint & Epoxy to JW
If you knew this web address before, you knew the business as ProFinish Paint & Epoxy LLC. That earlier site carried the same motto and three plain promises: enjoy the work, treat clients like family and make excellence the goal. It described a lifetime of passion for the trade brought to every surface.
The old site listed the jobs that are still the backbone of the business: interior and exterior painting, pressure washing, epoxy floors for garages, warehouses and industrial spaces, vinyl plank flooring, sheetrock repair, popcorn texture removal and texture finishes, tub and tile reglazing, cabinet painting, and a clear-coat protectant for hardwood, concrete, VCT and epoxy floors.
Today the same work carries the JW name on Google, Facebook and X. The Google reviews under that name go back to 2022 and were still arriving in October 2026. This site keeps the old address so past customers can find us, and puts the flooring and coating work front and center.
The owner
Meet Jimmie Wilson, owner
Jimmie Wilson runs the business and is on the jobs himself; that is why so many reviews mention him by name. He brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in painting and finishing work, which is how one crew can handle prep, coatings and the trim work around a new floor.
Customers describe the same habits again and again: he answers calls and texts, shows up when he says he will, points out problems worth fixing, and leaves the house clean. One wrote that he sent regular text and photo updates while the job was underway. Another, an HOA homeowner, wrote that he was on site promptly after a pressure-washing notice arrived.
JW Painting was a dream come true. After another painter ghosted me, I hired JW Painting to complete the paint job. Jimmy and his team were very communicative, sent regular text and photo updates, and took pride in their work. Their work was amazing and they transformed my home from a beach shack to a palace. Jimmy even noticed that the bathroom tub needed resurfacing and he cleaned the kitchen sinks without even asking. A true professional that I have hired again to paint my next house. The work
What the work looks like
Floors are where the trades meet. Coating a garage means grinding and patching concrete first. Laying plank means pulling old flooring, leveling the slab and finishing the trim. Repairing water damage means opening the floor up and finding out how far the moisture went. Having painting and pressure washing in the same crew helps: a pool deck gets cleaned properly before it is coated, and baseboards scuffed during an install get repainted without a second contractor.
Our Google reviews read like a list of the jobs that come our way. Garage floors coated with epoxy. New floors repaired and finished. A master bath retiled and a shower fixed within a few days. Decks, driveways and a 500-foot shadow box fence pressure-washed. Popcorn ceilings removed and textured, and churches and businesses painted.
We recently hired JW to replace the tile in our master bathroom, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! How we work
How we run a job
Every floor job follows the same order: measure, moisture test, written quote, install, walkthrough. The moisture test is the step most often skipped elsewhere and the one that most often explains a failed floor. Concrete slabs in a humid climate hold water, so we test before wood, vinyl plank or a coating goes down.
The written quote matters as much as the test. It lists removal, prep, materials, trim and the days each room will be out of use, so you can compare it line by line with anyone else’s. If the slab test calls for a moisture barrier or the subfloor needs repair, that shows up as its own line before work starts, not as a surprise halfway through. The walkthrough at the end is where we check transitions, edges and trim with you and fix anything on the punch list.
JW Painting & Pressure came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint & especially after several attempts to get several services out to my home through different apps. Mr. Wilson is very professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. After receiving an HOA notice to pressure wash driveway & without time to waste, he was promptly on site. Job completed to perfection! He noticed & recommended other jobs needed. Everything back in its place & except the grime and mildew. Home about 20 years old & needing an overhaul & in JW have found the person for fixing little & bigger issues. Happy to count on him again & share on here as we progress on each task.
