Coat, replace or repair: how to tell which you need
Start with what the floor is for. Bare concrete that takes car tires, tools or spills is a coating job: a garage floor coating or commercial epoxy bonds to the slab and becomes the wearing surface. Living space is usually an installation job, where plank, tile or wood goes over a tested, level base.
Then look at what failed. Peeling epoxy, cupped boards and tiles that tent upward are rarely bad luck. They point to moisture, a missed prep step or absent movement joints, and the fix starts with finding that cause. Our repair services begin there before anything is replaced.

Questions
Questions about choosing a flooring service
Should I coat my concrete or cover it with a new floor?
It depends on how the room is used. Garages, workshops, warehouses and pool decks take traffic, chemicals and water that suit a bonded coating. Living rooms and bedrooms usually feel better with plank, tile or wood. A slab with active moisture problems needs testing before either option, because vapor can lift coatings and ruin glue-down floors alike.
Can one company handle the garage, the house floors and the repairs?
Yes. JW runs coatings, installations and floor repairs in-house, so one crew can coat a garage slab, lay plank inside and fix a few popped tiles in the same project. You get one written quote and one schedule instead of coordinating separate trades.
Do I need a permit to replace flooring in Florida?
Usually not for finish flooring alone. Florida jurisdictions that adopt the residential building code generally exempt tiling, carpeting and similar finish work from permits, as decided by the building official. Structural subfloor or joist repairs and flood-zone substantial improvements are different, so check with your local building department.
